This tour is recommended for all beginners, children, families. The height difference you overcome is insignificant, but the length is still 8 km in one direction. 90% of the path is in the shade and is easily surmountable even in the summer.

The idea to visit the Dlabochica waterfall came quite spontaneously. Despite the fact that we visited Kokino and Peren peak in the winter period, the heavy snow did not allow us to move further, and therefore we decided to postpone the visit to the Dlabochica waterfall for the summer period – and here we are.

When researching this trail, we came across quite a bit of information. Despite several hiking societies mentioning it in their reports, it was quite difficult to get directions or a GPS record. Although we are not a mountaineering company – the moment to save the information for ourselves is simply incomprehensible to us. Neyse – those who will be found in the text: may you be alive and healthy and see you in the heights.

Tour: We start right below the slopes of Peren peak. The exact location where you can park your vehicle on the right on the map (Zoom In / Zoom Out). The road leading to the departure location is in fairly good condition – rather damaged, but in certain sections completely new asphalt. In approximately 15 minutes we climb to the top of Peren (the highest peak of the mountain Kozjak – Kozjačija), and we descend from the other side of the top, where a dirt road to the Dlabochica waterfall begins next to several houses. We move through a beautiful and secluded forest, a total of 4 km. to the mountain lodge Dlabochica and we descend from 1200 m. at 900 m. A real treat and easy walk through the woods. Even though we expected at least one adventurer on the trail, we had no human contact throughout the tour. We arrive at the crossroads where the road forks for the Dlabochica waterfall and the Dlabochica mountain lodge. We decide to visit the home and here we take our first break: we sit down on a neatly covered area with tables and chairs – but the Hut is empty. After we satisfactorily empty our food reserves, we decide on an adventurous venture (although we do not recommend it) – we continue from the home in the opposite direction in order to shorten the path. Thanks to the GPS device, we pass through the forest, cross the river and successfully exit the marked dirt road to the waterfall. Another 1 km separates us from the Dlabochica waterfall. A magical place – worth a visit.
