Golem Brzovec – a mountain top of Mount Bistra, in the western part of Macedonia. Its altitude is 2,082 meters. It is located on the large rocky ridge called Brzovec on the southern part of the mountain ridge of Bistra, on the right side of the valley of Tresonechka Reka and Mala Reka in the heart of Miachijata. At the foot of Brzovec in a line south of the peak, next to the right bank of the lush rapids of the Tresonechka Reka, there is the Alilitsa cave, and immediately to the west in front of the towering meters of the peak there are huge sinkholes. Due to its central geographical position, the Golem Brzovec peak offers a wonderful view of the entire mountain Bistra with its highest peaks Medenica, Čavkarnik, Ěurkov Dol and Mavrovsko Ezero and the extreme parts of Shar Planina in the north, Stogovo and Karaorman in the south, Raduch peak of Jablanica in the southwest and an extraordinary view of the village of Lazaropole as an eagle’s nest on a palm to the south. The peak can be accessed from the village of Tresonche from the south or from Galicnik through the village of Selska Livada and the karst Suvo Pole from the west.
