Village Brodec – Spiro’s Hut (Peaks Crn Kamen & Przhar)

Brodec – a village in the Municipality of Čučer-Sandevo, in the vicinity of the city of Skopje. According to the 2002 census, 3 inhabitants lived in the village. The village of Brodec is located in Skopje Crna Gora north of Skopje, about 15 km away from the city of Skopje. According to the data of the Bulgarian ethnographer Vasil K’nchov, in 1900 the village had 200 inhabitants, Macedonian Christians.

The trail starts at the end of the village Brodec and the beginning of the weekend settlement, at the village fountain. Arrival is by asphalt. Only when you pass the village of Pobozhje, the road is quite damaged and dug, but it is a short part and can be passed by passenger vehicle. In the winter, a short part of the road in front of Brodec can be frozen – if you do not have winter tires, do not try.

The trail is marked with mountaineering markings. Shortly after the start, the trail passes by a house where a large number of dogs and other animals are kept – a careful passage with children. The trail leads you through a short-stemmed forest dotted with meadows. In one place, the path intersects with the paved road – be careful when crossing because it is inconspicuous.

Shortly in front of Spiro’s Hut, the low-stemmed forest ends and the uphill increases briefly. After leaving the forest, a large meadow opens in front of you where Spiro’s Hut is located – a place for a well-deserved rest and enjoyment of the view in front of you.

In our opinion, this trail is most suitable for beginner mountaineers. It is shorter than the other trails and if you plan to visit it with children, plan about 2 hours walking in the direction. The trail is really beautiful at any time of the year, but you still have to plan enough time to return in order to avoid night movement on the mountain.
