Nizhepole – a village in Bitola Municipality, in the vicinity of the city of Bitola. It is located on the slopes of Baba Mountain, in the western part of the Pelagonia region. The village of Nizhepole is located at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level in the hilly-mountainous terrain of Mount Baba. It is 9.5 kilometers southwest of Bitola. The village is located on the border with the National Park “Pelister” and is only 10 km from the city of Bitola and is an important destination for recreationists and other tourists from the region and the country, but also neighboring countries, especially Greece and Albania. The numerous picnic spots, hiking trails and ski fields that abound in the surrounding area attract thousands of visitors throughout the year.
Mountain lodge “Dimitar Ilievski-Murato” or Mountain lodge “Golemo Ezero” – mountain lodge in Macedonia, located at an altitude of 2,218 meters, on the very shore of the Great Lake, on Mount Baba. The famous mountain lodge was built in 1951/52. It burned down in a fire in 1975, and the current home was built in 1978/79 in its immediate vicinity. The mountain lodge has six large sleeping rooms with a total of 30 beds and about 20 mattresses, a large dining room, kitchen, wood heating, electricity, water. The toilet is public 30 meters from the home. During the summer months (from the beginning of May to the end of October), the mountain lodge is always open on weekends, and during the winter, it can be open by request.
