Babuna – a medium-high mountain located in the central part of Macedonia, which rises between the valley of the river Babuna and Prilepsko Pole.

It stretches north from Goli Rid (1455 m.) to the Pletvar pass (994 m.) to the southeast. The ridge has a dinar direction extending northwest-southeast. In the middle part it is known as Mukos Mountain with the highest peak Luta (1,499 m). The highest peak is Kozjak (1,746 m). To the west Babuna continues to the mountain Zlato (Zlatovrv 1,422 m). The Macedonian revolutionary Gjorce Petrov, giving a detailed description of the stretch, calls the whole mountain Mukos, and lists the following names according to the direction of stretching: from the lowland at a distance of 2 hours, the southern slope is called Drenovska Mountain after the village Drenovci on the southern bottom. most of the northern slope is called Mukos, a name he takes for the whole range.

The most important rivers are: Brezica and Crnicka Reka which with Izvorcica are the right tributary of Babuna and Bel(ev)a and Stara River which flow towards Prilepsko Pole. The monastery Treskavec stands out from the cultural and historical monuments on Babuna Mountain.
