Zrnovci – a village in the Municipality of Zrnovci, in the vicinity of the town of Kočani. It represents one of the largest villages in the Kochan Valley. The village is the administrative seat of the municipality of the same name. For the very name Zrnovci, there is a tradition among the people that it was created from “grain and sheep”, which says that this region was abundant with grain crops and highly developed animal husbandry. Zrnovtsi is located at an altitude of 481 m above sea level and as part of Kochanska Kotlina it is protected from strong northerly winds by the Osogovski Mountains, and from strong air penetrations from the south by the Plachkovica mountain. Zrnovska Reka flows through the village.
