Lisec – the highest peak of Mount Plackovica with a height of 1,754 m. The peak rises in the eastern part of the mountain, where there are also the peaks Chupino Brdo (1,725 m), Bel Kamen (1,707 m) and Kara Tepe (1,625 m). Climbing the summit is possible from the north, south and east sides, with the north side being the easiest. The peak is also known as one of the peaks in Macedonia with the greatest view.

There are three ways to climb the peak: from the north, south and east side.

The easiest way to climb to the top is from the north side, which starts from the village of Zrnovci or from the village of Gradec, and the distance is about 10 km. The path from Zrnovci in the lower part mainly moves along the course of the Zrnovska Reka, while from the village of Gradec in the lower part it mainly moves along the course of the Gradechka Reka. The paths from the two villages then merge into one, which continues to Lisečko Bilo at an altitude of about 1,500 m, from where it continues to the very top.

On the southern side, the ascent starts from Radovish and continues through the cattle farm Cheshma Male, from where you get to an asphalt road through short paths. The road continues to the village of Kozbunar, from where the shortened paths start again. In the immediate vicinity of the forest house, there is an asphalt road again, and from the forest house, a 2 km long dirt road continues to the mountain lodge “Jumaia”, which is located at an altitude of 1,420 m. From Radovish to the mountain lodge you can also reach it by vehicle along a 22 km long asphalt road. The direction of movement from the mountain continues along a marked path down to the river Eden Dere, which is crossed several times to reach the foot of the peak.

On the eastern side, the ascent starts from the mountain lodge “Vrteshka” at an altitude of 1,107 m.

Lisec is one of the peaks in Macedonia with the greatest view, i.e. the farthest horizontal line of sight. In clear weather and clear atmosphere, from it you can see Mount Rila to the east, the Gulf of Thessaloniki to the south, and even Mount Olympus. Thanks to the great view, in the past a military radar observation center was located on the top, and more recently an astronomical observatory is planned.
