Carev Vrv – a mountain peak of the Osogovo Mountains in the Republic of Macedonia, 2,084 meters high. It is also known by its Turkish name Sultan Tepe.
Carev Vrv peak can be climbed from two sides: from Kriva Palanka – Monastery of St. Joakim Osogovski and from Kochani through Ponikva.
From Kriva Palanka to the monastery of St. Joakim Osogovski travels on foot or with his own vehicle along a 3 km long asphalt road. The PM marking starts from the monastery and leads towards Tsarev Vrv through the village of Varovishte, Lovechka house and Kalin Kamen. From the Hunting House to the top, you walk along meadows. The hiking trail is about 25 km long in one direction, which takes you 5 hours. There are several springs and fountains along the trail.
From Kochani, the marking starts from the end of Kochani, the end of the “14th Brigade” street continues under the city landfill, above the village of Crvena Niva, it passes through a wooded area with birch and pine all the way to the asphalt, it passes by the Z’mbova fountain. Then it continues along the long hill all the way to the asphalt. Cutting the asphalt road, it continues over Leshki hill. About 500 meters before the Forest House of JP Makedonski Shumi, it comes out on an asphalt road, continue along it. After 200 meters from the Forest House, leave the asphalt road (right), continue along the old road to Ponikva. It takes 5 hours from Kočani to Ponikva. Those who have their own vehicle can get to Ponikva, which is 20 km away, on an asphalt road.
From Ponikva, the path to Tsarev vrv continues along the wide cart road with a short cut at the former agricultural cooperative “Galeb” – Trkvanje, about half an hour before the top, you leave the wide road (to the right) and walk along the meadows. The path is well marked.
