Skrebatno – a village in the Municipality of Ohrid, in the vicinity of the city of Ohrid.

A conjecture for the name of the village is that it comes from a “skreba” or white vine, which usually grows up to five meters, but does not climb trees, but densely covers the surrounding bushes. The old people say that tea was brewed from scrapie to calm the body.

The village is located in the valley of Skrebatinska Reka, a tributary of Koselska Reka, between the Samarnica and Ilinec hills. It is a special mountain village, located at the eastern end of the Ohrid Valley. There is no other village in the immediate vicinity. In the past, the locals were supplied with drinking water from taps, supplied by springs. Today, the village has a water supply system built in 1953 with catchment from Bela Voda area.
