Ramne – a village in the Municipality of Ohrid, in the vicinity of the city of Ohrid.

This village is located in Ohridsko Pole, in the eastern part of Ohrid Municipality, not far from the city of Ohrid. The village is mountainous, at an altitude of 960 meters.

The village is located on a flat limestone terrace on the northwestern slope of the Galichitsa mountain, at an altitude of about 1,000 meters, which is why it (probably) got the name Ramne. A small river is created above the village from several sources, which flows into Lake Ohrid. The atar of the village spreads out on the Galichica mountain. The limestone composition of the land allows an abundance of water and a fairly strong and favorable water level at the village tap, which allows the water to be used not only for drinking, but also for irrigation during the summer. The rich sources of water are also used for the water supply of the city of Ohrid.

The area of Ramne has been inhabited since Roman times, as evidenced by the deposit of Ramneski Lozja, about 1 km north of the village. Ramne is one of the oldest villages in Ohrid. It was most likely founded in the early Middle Ages, as evidenced by the written Ramnen Psalter from this period. In the 19th century, Ramne was a village in the Ohrid Kaza of the Ottoman Empire.
