Sheshkovo – a small village in the Municipality of Kavadarci, in the area of Tikvesh, in the vicinity of the town of Kavadarci.

The village is located in the southwestern part of the territory of the Municipality of Kavadarci, on the left side of Lake Tikvesh. The village is located at an altitude of 620 meters. It is located on a coastal terrace, below the line of the second Aegean fault, at the northern foot of the peaks of Golem and Mal Rouen. It is 20 kilometers away from the town of Kavadarci. The village is located in the bosom of the Višešnica mountain.

The atar of the village covers an area of 20 km2. It is dominated by forests on an area of 1,852 hectares, and 130 hectares are arable land. A very bad dirt road leads to the village.

The Atar of Seškovo has been inhabited since the Iron Age, as evidenced by the Gradište deposit in its southeastern part. The village of Seškovo is quite old and it was mentioned with the same name in the medieval period from the Turkish census books of the 16th century, that is, from 1570 when it was a purely Christian Macedonian village that belonged to the Tikvesh district in the Kyustendil sanjak. The village was famous during the partisan fighting in the NOB. At that time, a partisan hospital also operated in the village. The hospital worked within the village school, but also in the surrounding houses, where a captured German doctor worked. The first British military mission was also located in the village, and there was also a radio station managed by Kiro Hadji Vasilev. During 1943, “Naroden Glas”, a newspaper of the Macedonian People’s Liberation Front for Tikveshko, Veleshko and Gevgelisk, began to be published. On August 22, 1944, the Ninth Macedonian Strike Brigade was created in Seškovo.
