Dautica or Oreshka Mountain – a high mountain located in the central part of Macedonia, part of the largest Jakupica mountain massif.

Dautica Mountain is located in the central part of Macedonia and represents the regional border between Pelagonia and Prilepsko Pole in the east, Poreče in the west and the valley of Babuna in Veleshko in the northeast. It represents a unique and extreme southern branch of the largest Macedonian mountain massif Mokra or Jakupica. It stretches along an almost meridian north-south direction with a slight deviation and twist to the east. Dautica begins to stretch from the 2423-meter high Perchulica area, which is located below the Solunsko Pole village, just below Solunska Glava, which is the highest peak of the entire Mokra mountain massif. It continues to stretch in a southern direction, lowering all the way to the Jaloarnik peak (1685 m.a.s.l.) from where the highest peak Dautica (2178 m.a.s.l.) and the Plavnik peak (2126 m.a.s.l.) branch off to the east. .) in the area of Kurtovica. From the peak of Jaloarnik, the mountain ridge continues to stretch south towards the peaks of Momina Chuka (1569 m.a.s.l.) and Chardak (1652 m.a.s.l.), from where it climbs to the highest mountain peak on its ridge, Bel Kamen, which is 2074 meters high. From here it continues to the south with a small turn to the east, descending along the peaks of Klepalo (1624 m.a.s.l.), Jalornik (1453 m.a.s.l.) and Babi (1275 m.a.s.l.) above the Zrze monastery all the way to Prilepsko Pole in Pelagonia. Dautica is a mountain with a limestone composition of the rocks, which is why it abounds with very strong, abundant and clear water sources such as: Belichkei above the village of Belica, Plavnik, Bela Voda, Kitanovski Izvor, Chavkarnik, Stevanov Izvor, the strong spring Vrelo above the monastery in Zrze and others. On its slopes there are several caves, among which the most famous are Zmejovica (above Krapa), Peshna, Gulabarnica, Jalovarnik, etc. The slopes are represented by dense oak forest, and to a lesser extent beeches, pines and low-stemmed shrubs. The area below the ridge is rich in pastures.

Papradishte – a village in the Azot district, in the Municipality of Chaska, in the vicinity of the city of Veles.

The village is located in the Azot area, in the western part of the territory of the Municipality of Čaška, in the upper catchment area of the river Babuna, whose atar rises high on the southern slope of Jakupica. The village is mountainous, at an altitude of 960 meters.

This famous village lies at an altitude of 950 to 1000 meters on a steep slope of Mokra mountain near the area between Dautica and Jakupica which essentially represents the valley of the Chepleska River. The slope faces east, and at its foot is the bed of Babuna. The surrounding villages are Nezhilovo, Kapinovo and Oreshe. Even though it has been displaced, Papradiste is still one of the most organized and advanced villages in Azot.

Paparidste together with Oreshe are the only washing villages in the Azot area and the entire Veles region. The village was created by Mijaci from the villages of Tresonce, Lazaropole, Gari, Galicnik in Mijaciata in Western Macedonia who moved here fleeing the attacks of the Albanian climbing gangs. Folk tradition states that earlier on the spacious atar of today’s village of Papradishte there were three separate villages — old Papradishte or Zvezdanovo, Cheples and Garvan. Zvezdanovo or Staro Papradiste was located on the site of today’s Papradiste, while Cheples and Garvan were located northwest and north in the valley of Chepleska Reka, a right tributary of Babuna which flows into it near Nezhilovo. They are one hour’s walk away from present-day Paparidšte. Those old villages perished “in some bozgunlok” (ie battle, battle or struggle). Remains of houses, graves and a church were known in the settlements of Chaples and Garvan.
