Piribeg (or often named as Kućinagledski Vrv) is a mountain peak of Shar Planina, in the northwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia. It is an integral part of Shar Mountain and its height is 2,524 meters.
It is located on the main Sharplanina ridge that forms the Macedonian-Kosovo border, where it is the third peak after the Sharplanina ridge. On the western side of the peak is the Brezovica ski center in Kosovo, from where a cable car leads to the very top, as well as a climbing path from the “Stojkova Kuća” mountain lodge. On the eastern side are the sources of Belovishka River, which forms one of the most impressive waterfalls of Shara. The peak is located near the Livaditsa and Ljuboten peaks and the Livadičko Lake and is accessible from the Ljuboten mountain lodge. Piribeg is the second most prominent peak of the main Sharplan ridge, and the whole area of the ridge is named after it, which starts in the northeast from the pass under Ljuboten and Kozja Stena with the peak of Livaditsa, and ends in the southwest with Kucinagledski Peak, from where it joins the next area of the ridge called Ezersko, which includes the peaks of Ezerska Chuka and Ezerski Vrv.
Belovishte Waterfalls (in the local dialect: Belojshki Vodopadi) – Three waterfalls of the Belovishka River spring from the bowels of Piribeg, the penultimate peak of the long Shar Mountain in its western part. The sparkling waters form the three waterfalls — Gorna Skala, Dolna Skala and Petochko Vodice. The third and lowest waterfall is also called Vrazhivir by the local population. The waters descend steeply down the almost impassable canyon to the village of Belovishte in Tetovo. This rare natural beauty can be seen in a space of two kilometers, with a total length of 150 meters.
These wildernesses, in which the view of the sky ends in the intertwined branches of huge trees, the steepness along which the two kilometers to the farthest waterfall can be overcome even with three hours of hard work, were jealously hidden by the inhabitants of Belovište, but also of the neighboring Vratnica, Rogachevo, Staro Selo and Audrey. The mountaineers were the first to conquer this area 15 years ago and have already marked a path, marking the trees on the right side of the Belovishka River.
The locals say that the whole area, up to the peaks of Shara, is rich in game – bears, foxes, wolves, chamois, roe deer, but also with truly endemic plants, which the hunter comes across in the spring, when nature begins to wake up. In all periods of the year, the cold Belovishka River is abundant with water, but at the same time clean for drinking, although we were told that it is at its highest during the period when the snows of Piribeg and the surrounding area melt. Then the three waterfalls, the length of which no one has measured so far, are the longest and most beautiful, and the breaking of the water creates a real spectrum of colors. The insiders claim that those three waterfalls are the second longest in the Balkans.
