Bakardan – a mountain top of Shar Mountain, in the northwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia. It is an integral part of Shar Mountain and its height is 2,704 meters, which makes it the second highest peak of the mountain.

It is located in the central part of Shar Planina on the branch that separates from the main Shaplanina ridge of stretches and which starts from Mal Turchin peak and from Titov Vrv continues to Bakardan, continuing to Sin Vrv and Ceripashina to above Popova Shapka. The peak rises high above the steep valleys of Gorna Leshnica in the north and the wide valleys and plateaus of Kazani and Vakaf in the east and Karabunar in the south, while in the west through a mountain saddle 2499 and 2551 meters above sea level it is directly connected to the highest Shar peak Titov Vrv. Shar Mountain has 3 peaks above 2700 m, and the highest – Titov Vrv, with 2748 m, then Bakrdan with 2704 m and Mal Turchin, with 2702 m, where the three peaks are placed in the form of a triangle, separated from each other by only 1-1 ,5 km.

With its height and central position, the top of Bakardan offers an extraordinary view of the entire stretch of Shar Mountain with all its peaks from Ljuboten and Piribeg to the north, the massif with the peaks of Kobilitsa, Shilidze, Vrtop, the area of Karanikola, the massif of the highest peaks – i.e. n. “Sharska crown” with Titov Vrv and Mal Turchin in the west, Popova Shapka and the entire Polog valley in the east and the high peaks of Borislavec, Rudoka, Golema and Mala Vratsa in the south. In clear and beautiful weather, the farthest view from the top of Bacardan includes Korab with Deshat in the southwest, Pelister and Nidze in the south, Mokra and Solunska Glava in the east, Zheden in the northeast and Pirin in the farthest distance to the east.
