Belichica – a village in the Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostushe, located high on the mountain Bistra, in the area of Gorna Reka, in the vicinity of the city of Gostivar. The village is particularly famous for the bloody massacre carried out by ballistic intruders on September 19, 1944.

Belichica is located in the western part of Macedonia, in the central part of the municipality of Mavrovo and Rostushe. The village is located on the northern slopes of the Chaušica mountain, a branch of the Shar mountain massif. An asphalt road leads to the village, which branches off from the regional road Debar – Mavrovo. The road was built during the 1980s. The village is 33.5 kilometers away from the nearest town of Gostivar. The village has always been divided into Dolno and Gorno Maalo, which was particularly affected by the massacre in 1944 and has never recovered since then.
