Liska – the highest mountain peak of Ilinska Mountain in the western part of Macedonia. Its altitude is 1,908 meters. It offers a view of the whole of Western Macedonia, i.e. the two largest Macedonian natural lakes Ohrid in the southwest, Prespa in the south, Pelister peak in the southeast, the entire area of Zheleznik (Demir Hisar) in the east, the city of Kichevo in the north, the mountains of Bistra Stogovo, Krcin, Deshat and Korab in the northwest and the entire area and valley of Debrca with the Karaorman and Jablanica mountains in the west. Regarding the name of the peak Liska on the ridge of the Ilinska Mountain, the Macedonian revolutionary Gjorche Petrov wrote in his book Materials for the study of Macedonia that Liska – the ridge of the mountain from the Belicka Mountain to the east is so called because there is a lot of coot (mica) on it. that is stone slate – tile. This is also confirmed by the statements of the inhabitants of the village of Golemo Ilino, whose roofs are covered with mica slabs dug and extracted from the rocks on the top of Liska.
