Shtirovica – a historical village in the Reka district, northwestern Macedonia, today in the atar of the village. Brodec, Gostivar Municipality. The inhabitants were Macedonians-Skrets of Islamic religion, misled as “Albanians”.

The remains of the village are located in the Gorna Reka area, at the foot of Korab, along the course of the Shtirovica river, a tributary of Radika. In the 19th century Štirovica was a Skret village in the Rekanska kaza. According to “Ethnography of the vilayets of Adrianople, Monastir and Thessaloniki” in 1873. Chtirovitza had 100 households, with 235 “Albanian” Muslims. According to Vasil K’nchov’s statistics (“Macedonia. Ethnography and Statistics”) in 1900 the village had 400 “Arnauti” Muslim inhabitants.

Shtirovica or Shtirovicka Reka – a river in Western Macedonia and a right tributary of Radika. The source area of the river is located between Crna Chuka and Kotata peaks, on the eastern slope in the northern part of Korab mountain. The river is formed by joining several streams in the area of Pesok, at an altitude of about 1,950 m. The course of the river continues through the historical village of Shtirovica, passes by the Strezimir watchtower and at an altitude of about 1,270 m flows into the Radika River on its right side, at the place where the Adzina River also flows into Radika from the left side.
