Bistra – mountain range in the central part of Western Macedonia. Due to the richness of flora and fauna, as well as pleasant and remedies for climate planning, it is quite attractive for tourists, and has preconditions for the development of winter skiing and summer tourism. It rises between the Kichevo Valley to the east and the flow of the river Radika from the west. The northern border consists of the basin of Mavrovo Lake and the flow of Mavrovska River is the southern one, expose part of the river Treska with Ehlovechka River, the pass Jama with Jamska River, Garska River, Mala Reka pointing to Boshkov Most.

The mountain covers an area of ​​572.8 km2, of which 483.8 with a height of over 1,000 m and 4.8 km2 with a height of over 2000 m.

The mountain is a large flat massif, surrounded by a number of mountain peaks. There are total of 15 peaks higher than 2000 meters.
