Vodno – medium high mountain located in the southern part of the Skopje Valley. The highest point of Vodno is the peak Krstovar, 1066 meters high, where the colossal Millennium Cross is located. A cable car that bears his name runs to the cross.

From the flora of the mountain Vodno you can find evergreen and deciduous plants. Of the deciduous plants on Vodno, the most common is the chestnut, but there is also birch, linden, oak, hornbeam and others. From the evergreen plants that are in greater number than the deciduous ones, the most common is the pine that is on both sides of the mountain Vodno. Spruce is less common, and there are boxwood and fir that are in insignificant numbers.

Vodno is our “gym” when we are not on another mountain. Offers several hiking and biking trails on the north and south sides. The biggest problem we are facing at the moment, apart from the ruthless usurpation, is the categorization of the trails: mountaineering, cycling, downhill, quad & cross motorcycles and what not. We are witnessing an upward trend of accidents and injuries due to this shortcoming: we hope that FPSM and the City of Skopje will wake up and determine this categorization, because Vodno has an increased attendance, and thus an increased risk of injuries to visitors.
