Plachkovica – a medium-high mountain in the eastern part of Macedonia. The highest point is the Lisec peak with a height of 1,754 m. It rises between the town of Radovish and the Strumica-Radoviška Valley in the south and the Kočanska Valleyin the north, in a northwest-southeast direction. The church “St. Spyridon”.

The length of the main mountain ridge is 34 km. With the Zrnovska River valley, Plachkovica mountain is divided into two parts: eastern and western. The western part is lower with the highest peak Crkvishte (1,700 m), and the eastern part of Plackovica is higher and on it are the peaks Lisec (1,754 m), Chupino (1,725 m), Bel Kamen (1,707 m), Kara Tepe (1,625 m). and others. The geological composition consists of granites (in the east), crystalline schists, gneisses and a narrow belt of marbles in the west. The relief is interesting, represented by fluvial plains (surfaces) in the higher parts and steep mountain sides of a faulted character.

The mountain is dissected by several deep river valleys. Otherwise, the rivers, which are more numerous and richer in water on the northern side, have deep valleys and a large longitudinal drop. Thus, Zrnovska River has several rapids, waterfalls and giant pots. There are also caves in the marble rocks. The western and southwestern slopes are bare and erosion has developed, while the other parts are under forest.

There are also three beautiful canyons on Mount Plachkovica: Kamnik, Kozjak and Zrnovka, in which there are beautiful natural beauties such as rivers, waterfalls, high rocks…

For many, Kamnik Canyon with its beauty represents Colorado in miniature. Necessary infrastructure for unhindered movement is provided to all canyons (markings, billboards, signposts, cables, ferrets and rest area).

Among the many beauties offered by Mount Plachkovica are the numerous caves, five of which have been examined and are available for visitors. The largest of them is the Great Cave, with an examined length of 600 meters. It represents a true pearl with its cave decorations and a challenge for speleologists. The caves: Kjup, Ajduchka, Turtel and Ponor are smaller, but rich in cave decorations and are easily accessible to visitors and marked trails lead to them.
