Kurtovo Kjule – peak on Mount Korab in the western part of Macedonia. Its altitude is 2,082 meters. It is located northwest of the village of Zhirovnica and rises on the ridge of a small branch (ridge) that flows from the main ridge of the Korab stretch to the east. It represents one of the southernmost peaks of the Korab mountain, from which the Deshat mountain begins to stretch to the south with the Valavicharska Reka valley and the Golema Planina area. According to the location of the Kurtovo Kjule peak, it is located at coordinates 41°41’15” north latitude and 20°33’26” east longitude. It is located at the end of the mountain branch that stretches on the eastern slope of Mount Korab, while in the west it is connected to the peak of Javorsko Brdo (2235 m.) while in the east it opens wide above the valley of Zhirovnica and opens to the north and south, discharging steep slopes in the valleys of Tairovska Reka in the north and Valavicharska Reka, which is the border with which Mount Deshat begins in the south. The environment at the top abounds with rare geological and morphological phenomena such as: scarp, ostenci, stone ridges, stone currents and icy soils. From the top of Kurtovo Kule offers an extraordinary view of the entire stretch of Korab and Deshat, the valley of Radika, the mountain of Bistra.

Javorsko Brdo (also known as Javorski Rid) — a peak in the southern part of Mount Korab, is located on the extreme southern part of Mount Korab on the mountain ridge, near the main ridge of the stretch. More precisely, the peak of Javorsko Brdo is located on a mountain branch that flows from the neighboring peak of Visoko Brdo on the main ridge stretching to the east and ends with the peak of Kurtovo Kule, which is why Javorsko Brdo is located completely inside the territory of Macedonia. According to the location of the top of Jaworsko Brdo, it is located at coordinates 41°41’02” north latitude and 20°32’30” east longitude. It is located on the mountain branch that stretches on the eastern slope of Mount Korab, between the peak of Visoko Brdo (2235 m.) in the west and the peak of Kurtovo Kule in the east, while to the north and south there are steep slopes in the valleys of Tairovska Reka in the north and Valavicarska Reka, which is the border with which Deshat Mountain begins in the south. Right at the foot of the very western slope of Javorsko Brdo, on the precipice that connects it with the neighboring peak of Visoko Brdo, there is a ruined watchtower near which the trampled border patrol trail passes. The very highest part of the peak is sharp and pointed, completely grassy and bare, while the forests are quite a bit lower, and on its southern slope, in addition to the beech forest, low in the Great Mountain area, there are also rare maples, which is why there is probably a small possibility that it got its name Javorsko Brdo. In some written sources the peak is also known as Jaworski Rid, while on topographical maps the peak is written as Javorsko Brdo, most likely under the influence of Yugoslav cartography in the Serbo-Croatian language. Another possibility for the origin and meaning is from the word “Jalovarsko”, which is recorded as a toponym of the ridge of Mount Deshat in the immediate vicinity of this peak and has a meaning related to animal husbandry, i.e. a place where barren (infertile, infertile) sheep and cattle were left.
